We are pleased to share that Shivali Mathur, Associate for Energy Transition at Amberside Advisors, will be speaking at the upcoming IPFA’s event ‘District Heat Networks – Getting in the Zone’ in Edinburgh on 9th October.
Heating accounts for 20% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions, making the decarbonisation of heat essential for achieving our net zero targets. Heat sector still requires further work to create a clear pathway for development, with new regulations aiming to establish cost-effective heat network zones across the UK, fostering collaboration between government, industry, and local stakeholders.
Bringing her experience from years spent working with the heat network sector both in the commercial advisory role, but also from her time at DESNZ, Shivali will join the panel of experts, alongside: Paul Steen, Head of Business Development North at Vattenfall, Stephen Vere, Senior Associate Director at Scottish Future Trust, moderated by Suzanne Moir, Partner at Addleshaw Goddard, to share insights into how the new regulatory landscape will shape the delivery of heat network projects, highlighting the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The event is open to IPFA members and the Public sector and you can register here.
If you are registered to join the event, please make sure to connect with Shivali Mathur and Mark Easter who will also be there on the day. And if you want to learn more about Amberside Advisors’ work in this space, be sure to connect with them.
