Amberside welcomes a new Senior Manager

We are delighted to announce a new Senior Manager joining Amberside Advisors – Shravya Garuda.

Shravya is a financial consultant with years of experience gathered at EY and Grant Thornton. In her professional career, she worked across industry sectors spanning Transport, Health, Real Estate and others, advising both private sector clients and various Government departments.

In 2017, Shravya decided to take a break from her corporate career, to focus on bringing up her two incredible little girls, while also providing consultancy to startups in equity and fund raising activities. During that time, she also had a chance to explore her creative side, which led her to opening a small sustainable clothing label, which was active until Covid downturn.

Shravya has a Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Masters in Physics (majoring in Mathematical Physics) from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani (BITS Pilani), one of India’s most premier institutes. And she loves sharing her knowledge, working as a regular volunteer at the local Government-aided schools, teaching under-privileged kids in Grades 4-7 Mathematics and Spoken English. In addition to that, in her free time Shravya also runs a volunteering group called ‘Messy Hands Happy Hearts’ engaging kids and connecting them with nature through structured play.

Upon her appointment, Shravya said: “I’m excited to be getting back to the corporate world after a hiatus of over 5 years! I hope the skills I was forced to learn during the ‘Great Motherhood Pause’ like crisis management, negotiations, multitasking, educating/teaching will help me in navigating this new role!”

At Amberside, Shravya will focus on project work to support the wider management team, building on her previous experience in the financial and commercial advisory sector, working with clients through spreadsheet-backed models/analytic tools and also help explore new opportunities. She will initially be working remotely from India, with the plan to relocate to the UK in the next year.

We are delighted to have Shravya onboard and we wish her the best of luck in her new role.
