Mark joined Amberside Advisors as Head of Commercial Advisory in March 2022 from the ENGIE Urban Energy leadership team, where he headed Commercial Management of the largest district energy portfolio in the UK (560MWth).

Mark has been at the forefront of developing and negotiating many of the industry’s highest profile transactions including schemes at the Olympic Park and Stratford City, Embassy Quarter Nine Elms, Newcastle Science Central, Edinburgh St James Quarter, and Battersea Power Station, as well as providing commercial and risk leadership across the national portfolio.

At Amberside Advisors, he is now using this experience to support the growth of the wider Heat and Decentralised Energy sector, by supporting the public and private sector with their energy transition investments (greenfield and brownfield) with a range of commercial and transaction advisory services.

Mark started his career in Lendlease Infrastructure, before transitioning to a range of energy services within Cofely GDF-SUEZ including district energy, solar and gas mobility.

Mark holds a Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences, Masters in Economics, and an Exec MBA from Cranfield School of Management, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CMI.
